1/ Plain-English pledge
We collect the minimum needed to run RampNerd and deliver your files. We don’t run ads or
marketing trackers. We don’t sell your data. Tracking people is for cockroaches.
You may use a display name and a burner email — the ramps still work. We only store what’s
needed to run your projects and process payments.
2/ Who we are
Controller details are listed in the details.
3/ What we collect
Account & identity: your sign-in email (you may use a display name or burner email).
Preferences: units, currency, presets, and related settings.
Projects & outputs: ramp configurations, IDs, timestamps, and download links (via
time-limited S3 URLs).
Payments: processed by Stripe; we only receive payment status/metadata, never card numbers.
Logs: basic technical information (e.g. IP address, browser, device, timestamps) collected
automatically by service providers for security and reliability.
We do not use this data for
profiling or marketing.
Cookies/local storage: strictly necessary only (session, unit/currency/UI state).
Sources: you (forms, settings) and your device (logs). We do not buy data from third
parties.
4/ Why we use your data
Run the app; generate and deliver files; remember preferences (units, currency, settings);
confirm acceptance of Terms and record version/time of agreement; process payments and
receipts;
ensure security and fraud prevention; maintain service reliability;
support and bug resolution; and meet legal obligations for tax and accounting.
5/ Legal bases (GDPR/UK)
Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) to provide the service/deliverables.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, legal
claims.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for optional communications (if any).
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for accounting/tax records.
No automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
6/ Processors (where processing happens)
We use third-party service providers for hosting/database, file storage, payments, and email. Data Processing Agreements are in place. We do not use analytics or advertising features.
6.1/ Provider settings
Where our providers offer privacy-affecting options, we disable optional data uses unrelated to operating our service.
7/ International transfers
Some processing may occur outside the EEA/UK. Where this happens, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (and UK equivalents) and related assessments to protect your data.
8/ Retention
Accounts, preferences, projects, outputs: kept while your account is active; on deletion request
we remove linked projects/files except records kept by law.
Service logs: up to 90 days (longer only for security investigations).
Support emails: up to 24 months.
Payment/financial records: 7 years (legal requirement).
Backups: may persist up to 30 days, then roll off.
9/ Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted by least-privilege
controls, with regular audits and key rotation. Downloads use time-limited signed links.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize risk and impact.
10/ Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share personal data only with our service providers to run the service, with authorities
when required by law or to protect rights/safety, and with a buyer or successor in a merger or
acquisition (we’ll notify you where required).
11/ Your rights (GDPR/UK)
Request access, correction, deletion, portability, and restriction/objection where applicable.
Withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing.
contact support@rampnerd.com.
You may also complain to your local authority (Belgium:
GBA/APD).
US (CPRA/CCPA) add-on: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context
behavioral advertising; request access or deletion via retire@rampnerd.com.
12/ Children & age
RampNerd isn’t directed to children. If you’re under 13, do not use the service or send us
personal data.
If you’re under your country’s digital age of consent (EEA: 13–16; Belgium: 13), use
RampNerd only with verifiable parental/guardian or school consent. Paid accounts must be created
by an adult (or a parent/guardian as contracting party).
If we learn we collected data contrary to these rules, we delete it.
13/ How to exercise choices
Delete your account or export data via the in-app link or by emailing
retire@rampnerd.com.
Emails: use the unsubscribe link or email us.
Cookies: strictly necessary cookies/local storage only.
14/ Changes
We update this page when things change and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be announced in-app or by email.

Terms & Conditions
1/ What RampNerd is
RampNerd is a web-based design tool for ramps. It is not an engineering, architectural, or
construction service.
We don’t use AI. Our outputs are guidance only. You must verify everything with a qualified
professional before building anything in the real world.
2/ Using RampNerd means you agree
By using RampNerd, you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement under your local law, or have consent from a parent/guardian. If you use RampNerd on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company.
3/ Free vs. paid projects
Demo lets you explore features; nothing is saved or exported. Project mode saves your data; after export, the project is read-only.
4/ License to deliverables
Personal or internal business use. You may share with your contractor or CNC solely to fulfill your order. No resale, republication, redistribution, or inclusion in products for sale.
5/ Safety is on you
Our designs/outputs are guidance only. You are responsible for safe building and use. Verify all dimensions and methods with a qualified professional where needed; follow local laws/codes; assess site conditions and loads; use proper materials/tools/PPE; supervise minors. RampNerd does not provide structural calculations, approvals, or on-site supervision.
6/ Payments & refunds
You pay per project using a credit system, and prices may change.
Payments are final once a project is purchased and/or finalized and the files are available;
we refund duplicate charges, accidental double purchases, or payment processing errors.
If you are an EU consumer, by clicking “Agree & Continue” you request immediate access and
acknowledge you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for this order under Directive 2011/83/EU,
Article 16(m).
This does not affect your statutory rights if the digital content is not supplied or is
non-conforming.
7/ Support
We are a small indie project and provide best-effort email support with no guaranteed response time or fix. Contact support@rampnerd.com.
8/ Bugs
For household pests: keep food sealed, maintain hygiene, and contact licensed professionals if needed.
This is general information, not advice.
For software bugs related to RampNerd, email wtf@rampnerd.com
with a short description, steps to reproduce, browser and OS, screenshots, and your project ID (if applicable).
We may review but do not promise a response, timeline, or fix.
9/ Acceptable use
Do not break the law, scrape, spam, attack, or attempt to hack the service. Do not reverse engineer our code. Do not upload content you lack rights to. We may suspend or end access if you break these rules, with no refund.
10/ “AS IS” and no warranties
RampNerd is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” We make no promises about accuracy, fitness for
a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation.
You use the service at your own risk. Nothing we provide is professional advice.
11/ Liability cap
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including injuries, property damage, delays, cost overruns, or lost profits or data. If we are ever found liable, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the specific project that gave rise to the claim; if you paid €0, our liability is €0. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law; where liability can be limited, it is.
12/ Intellectual property
RampNerd—its software, code, UI, and brand—is our intellectual property. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service. You may not use our name or logos without permission. You retain rights in your own input data and allow us to process it to run and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
13/ Changes, downtime, and data
We may change or discontinue features at any time. Downtime can occur. Always download and store your finalized files; you are responsible for keeping copies. If we discontinue the service, we will try—but do not promise—to let you fetch finalized deliverables.
14/ Disputes, law, and courts
Please email us first to try to resolve any issue. If that fails, these terms are governed by Belgian law and disputes go to Belgian courts, for example in Ghent. If you are an EU consumer, any mandatory protections in your country still apply.
15/ Housekeeping
These terms together with our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms, and continued use of RampNerd after changes means you accept the new version. We may assign these terms, for example if we sell the business. Headings are for readability only.
Summary
RampNerd is a design tool; you verify and build at your own risk. No refunds after finalization subject to applicable law. No edits after finalization. No resale or redistribution of our files. Liability is capped at what you paid for the project (or €0 if you paid nothing). Belgian law applies. Contact support@rampnerd.com
